Our app uses Android's official Storage Access Framework (SAF) to access WhatsApp status files:

• You manually grant access to the WhatsApp folder using Android's system file picker
• This permission is stored locally on your device only
• We cannot access any other folders or files on your device
• This access can be revoked at any time through your device settings
• No data is transmitted to our servers (we don't have any servers)

3.2 Local Storage Only

All operations happen entirely on your device:

• Downloaded statuses are saved locally in your device's gallery
• Files are stored in: Pictures/StatusSaver (for images) and Movies/StatusSaver (for videos)
• Saved favorites are stored in your device's internal storage
• No files are uploaded to any server or cloud service
• All data remains under your control at all times

3.3 Offline Operation

The app works completely offline:

• No internet connection required for core functionality
• No data is transmitted over the internet
• Your files and privacy remain on your device
• Internet is only used for displaying advertisements (if applicable)

4. Permissions Required

The app requires the following Android permissions. Here's why we need each one:

4.1 Storage Permissions (Android 13+)

• READ_MEDIA_IMAGES: To read WhatsApp image statuses from your device
• READ_MEDIA_VIDEO: To read WhatsApp video statuses from your device
• Purpose: Required to view and save WhatsApp statuses
• Scope: Limited to the specific folder you grant access to via SAF

4.2 Storage Permissions (Android 11-12)

• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: To access the WhatsApp status folder

4.3 Internet Permission (If Using Ads)

• INTERNET: Only for displaying advertisements (if applicable)
• Purpose: To load and display ads from Google AdMob
